The Best Breakfast Ever!

This last week Miles and I have been preparing for Mexico (only 15 more days!) and we have decided to go tanning so we don't burn up in the sun and we can really enjoy our week. Before tanning on Tuesday, we stopped at Jamba Juice for a little breakfast treat. I remember my friend Aaron Youngberg getting a breakfast smoothie before snowboarding last winter, and I decided to give it a try. This is now my new favorite snack! I crave it all the time, and have already gone back this week for seconds! If there is a Jamba near you, go try the Chunky Strawberry breakfast smoothie. I'm not the biggest fan of strawberries, in fact I really don't like them at all... but this smoothie is amazing! It has strawberries, bananas, non-fat plain yogart, soy milk, organic granola and peanut butter. I order extra granola because it tastes so good! And it's pretty healthy and filling for a breakfast treat! I get the smallest size and it fills me up quickly! I highly recommend it.

Hair styles, fashion styles, and hair lines may change (and they certainly have)... but their love sure hasn't. I loved looking through these pictures. Some of them just crack me up! I'm pretty glad some of those styles have changed... especially the hair styles! I'm so grateful that I've grown up in the home that I have. These last 21 years have been filled with a lot of love and laughter. Here's to 26 years of marriage, and 26 more! Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! We love you.

Updates on the Heidorn Home

There have been a lot of fun and exciting things happening in the Heidorn home these last few weeks. We've been super busy with school and Pinnacle stuff and I've recently started taking engagement pictures for couples. I think I love weddings more now than ever before! It's so fun to hear couples' stories and about their wedding plans. I love watching them interact and see just how much they love each other. It's so evident in their pictures because they act exactly how they feel. I just think that is so neat! I'm so excited to graduate and do something that I love fulltime! I'm so lucky that I've found something that I not only love to do, but I love to learn about! It makes school and the long hours I spend on projects a lot easier to handle!

My mom came to visit 2 weekends ago. My grandma and grandpa Dimick had their 50th wedding anniversary on the 25th, so my mom flew out to be with them and her siblings for a party. It was so nice to have her here for 2 nights. As promised, we attempted to make the birthday mistake up to her! We threw her a little party on Saturday night complete with cupcakes, a birthday tiara, decorations, and a birthday necklace. Miles sang her happy birthday in Italian! We also carved pumpkins and picked apples at the campus orchards. I made a big dinner for my mom and my Aunt LuJean drove to Rexburg from Idaho Falls too! I made an artichoke tortelli. It turned out pretty good and I highly recommend it! I would love to give the recipe to anyone that wants it! After dinner we played a round of Apples to Apples, which my mom won by a LONG shot! I guess she's pretty funny.. who know (just kidding mom!) It was so fun to have my mom here. I wish she was around all the time! I love just sitting and talking with her. We hope you had a good time and come back soon mom! Also, last week our campus ward, as well as another ward, split to combine the new 92nd ward. The members of our old ward hardly knew who we are (which is slightly embarrassing on our part) because of General Conference, Stake Conference, and the fact that we slept in 2 weeks and arrived a week late to school! So we went to Priesthood/Relief Society 3 times! We're excited for the opportunity to make new friends and get to know the members of our new ward. We're given a clean slate and a second chance! (fewf!)

We also had our first married Halloween! Miles and I wanted to dress-up as a famous couple. We went to the BYU-Idaho costume place and went through their stuff and a lot of things just weren't working out for us. We started as Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler from Gone With the Wind but I just couldn't bring myself to wear the super frilly dress. I could hardly see above the neck frills! So we then decided on Pocahontas and John Smith... however they gave me indian man pants that looked similar to cowboy chaps. I wasn't feeling it, but decided I would be fine if Miles was looked cute. But they dressed him up in this ugly brown jacket and pants that were as wide as they were tall and a crotch that was a good 3 feet long! So we x'd out that idea, and finally decided upon Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice. Pride and Prejudice just so happens to be one of my favorite books and movies, so I was pretty excited. Miles look ADORABLE. When we were dating, I remembered a quote from P&P that I really loved. I remember thinking once that one of the most desirable characteristic I wanted my husband to have was that he would make me laugh for a lifetime. Miles definitely does that :) He make me so happy. Here's the quote:
"I am the happiest creature in the world. Perhaps other people have said so before, but not one with such justice. I am happier even than Jane; she only smiles, I laugh."
Here are some photos from our Halloween.

Also, Saturday was a big day for us! Miles went to IF to do some preseason sales, and after he got one, I met him at Downeast Home to look for a couch and we found a couch that we both loved! It will be delivered on Monday and we can hardly wait! We're finally going to start filling our living room. It's very exciting for the two of us.
