Caiden is 4 Months!

Caiden has had quite the month! Here are some of his four month stats.
- He weighs 15lbs 6oz and is 25.5in tall (75th and 90th percentiles).
- He started rolling from front to back.
- He loves loves loves his jumper!
- We took Caiden to his first Met's game and with the exception of all the yelling and cheering when Beltran hit a home run, he loved it!
- He went to the zoo for the first time!
- Loves going on long walks in his bjorn, but Miles got us a jogging stroller this month and he has really loved jogging with momma!
- Celebrated his first 4th of July and saw his first little fireworks show.
- We went on a road trip to Vermont and Caiden went to Girls Camp for the first time.
- Caiden celebrated his first Father's Day with his daddy and they wore matching outfits.
- The boy loves to kiss. If you go in for one he opens his mouth to kiss you. He will grab my face and pull me in. I love his slobbery kisses. They are the highlight of my day.
- He loves his jeep walker! He sits in it while we eat breakfast and just stares at himself in the mirror.
- He went through a three week long anti sleep for momma stage. It felt like an eternity! But he now sleeps 11-12 hours a night and it is blissful!
- He has become infatuated with the dogs. He reaches for Nixon and loves to pet him and receive kisses.
- Watched the entire Justin Beiber movie. It was the first movie he's sat through without fussing. He even danced!
- Loves to play peek-a-boo, especially with my sister Jen.
- Some nights he really enjoys reading his books. It's either love or hate though. It depends on how tired he is.

Video!

Check it out! We got Caiden's newborn video and it is awesome. We found Katie Crabb on Bulletin Board at BYU-Idaho and she brought along Jaclyn Davis to do some photography. I can't believe how big Caiden is now. I can't believe how much hair he's lost! A lot has changed in the last four and a half months, which is why I will treasure this video forever. Click the link and check out the sweetness of my newborn baby.

4th of July

We believe the 4th of July should consist of three things: barbecue, swimming, and fireworks. We went to the lake, barbecued at my parents house with our family, and had a little fireworks show in the driveway because two of the three the grandson's are a little too little for real fireworks.  We also played with bubbles, which weren't well received by Caiden, but he warmed up to them. Somehow bubbles were scary but fireworks were fascinating. We love our family, we love our country, God bless America!

Caiden's first Mets game.

It's of no surprise to anyone that knows me that I am a huge Mets fan. It was a dream come true to bring my baby boy to Citi Field for his first Mets game. Unfortunately David Wright was (and still is for a few more days) benched with a collision injury so we'll have to bring Caiden back to watch DW play. Caiden did surprisingly well. He made it through the whole game. Our seats were kind of crowded, so when Beltran hit a home run Caiden was not enjoying all the cheering. His little bottom lip started to quiver and then he had a full blown melt down. We saw across the stadium that there was a section with a lot fewer people. The seats weren't as good as my dad's season tickets seats, but we moved to enjoy the quiet. Caiden was content for the rest of the game and the Mets won! We can't wait to go back at least one more time this summer.

One Year Ago

One year ago today I was holding a piece of plastic and jumping up and down in the upstairs bathroom here in Connecticut.

Nine months went by and my belly was growing, I was seeing numbers on the scale I had never seen before, and I was feeling little feeties kick inside me.

Four months ago this Friday the cutest, sweetest little man entered the world and made me the happiest momma that ever existed.

One year ago today my life changed forever, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Favorite Onesie...

I have this favorite little onesie that Caiden was given as a gift from Miles' Aunt Lisa. It's a cute little v-neck from baby gap with a VW bug stitched on it. I think it is just about the cutest little onesie in the world (I love pretty much everything from baby gap though). It's a 3-6 month onesie but I started putting Caiden in it at 2 months even though the snaps would sag to his knees. You couldn't see the saggy with pants on so it was no big deal. It fits him perfectly now and he wears it at least once a week. I bought him this little hat on Black Friday last year and completely forgot about it until a few weeks ago. I pulled it out and it just barely fits him. I loved his little outfit so much I had to get some pictures of Caiden in my  favorite little onesie before he grows out of it.

This kid is just so full of personality! He makes about 10 different faces a minute, all of them remind me of Miles. I thought that facial expressions were a learned trait, but Caiden inherited Miles expressions. He's been making daddy faces since he was born. I'll be playing with Caiden and look up to tell Miles "he's making a Miles face" and Miles will be making the exact same face without knowing it. It is surreal, and I love it!

Traveling Triplets

I have three friends. They are identical triplets. They are beautiful girls(it's really unfair). Their lives are filled with fun adventures across the globe. And they do it on a budget. And they are kind enough to share their knowledge with us on their blog, Traveling Triplets. And guess what? I'm their first guest blogger. My post is up today, traveling through Italy on a budget! Head over there and check it out and follow their blog (you won't regret it). Browse through their posts, it's so cute and so informative and they take the greatest pictures! You'll be envious of their adventures, but they document them so well you feel like you're right next to them.
