The Boy is 18 Months.

What a busy three months and summer Caiden has had. He's growing up so quickly, but 18 months is definitely my favorite age so far. We are having so much fun together. He loves going on adventures and notices and is curious about everything.

- Caiden's vocabulary has exploded in the last 3 months. The following words have been added to his ever-increasing library of words: fish, shoes, saw, cheese, please, cat, home, cookie, mommy instead of mom, tickle tickle tickle, no, go, ball, balloon, sheep, giraffe, juice, Jen, Ri, Matthew, and his current favorite words to say Poppy and baby.
- the boy loves to be outside. He has enjoyed swimming lessons, visiting the chickens across the street, going on jogs with his momma, going on adventures in the woods, going to the park, having picnics, going on the paddle boat, fishing, and mowing the lawn. He just loves to be outdoors.
- he loves to give high fives and shake people's hands.
- the boy loves all things Mickey Mouse club house. For a few weeks straight he could be found  with Mickey Mouse riding a scooter in his hands every waking minute.
- Caiden loves sprinkles.
- Can point out his eyes, ears, nose, tongue, belly button, toes, and fingers. He loves to practice them.
- Loves books! He loves reading them to himself and having them read to him. He especially loves the Baby Einstein's first words book. He loves pointing at things and hearing what they are, and when he gets the chance to point to words that I say. He's a smarty pants!
- He now has 16 teeth! Full mouth of pearly whites.
- The boy has 1 speed: running. He is on the move 95% of the day on full speed. He also discovered that my parents house has a perfect square to run around downstairs and will run laps through the kitchen, dining room, and foyer so long as everyone is cheering for him. One night he seriously did about 25 laps in a row.
- Caiden formed his very first sentence: daddy at home?
- He absolutely loves airplanes and play-doh.
- Caiden will now fold his arms to say prayers, and will even bow his head. He is a very good example to us. Every time he folds his arms we say a little prayer. I love it. It is the sweetest thing.
- He tries to sing along with the hymns at church during sacrament meeting. He sings in a very sweet, soft, high pitched voice (usually about Poppy).
- The boy loves car keys. Real car keys. And sitting in the drivers seat (while the car is off). He also loves to lay on the ground and make toy cars drive. He even makes the sounds. It's the cutest.
- He loves V8 fruit fusion smoothies.
- Caiden gets really frustrated when he can't do something the first time he tries and will either scream until someone helps him or throws the object across the room.
- He started nursery. The first Sunday he did amazing. The second Sunday, not so well. He was brought to me in Primary about 10 minutes into singing time 2nd hour with blotchy, red, cry face and hiccups from crying so hard. Poor baby! Nursery has also made him very possessive of his toys. He used to be such a great sharer! I'm very conflicted about the whole thing. But we will try again Sunday.

Caiden Day.

A few weeks ago Caiden was a bit under the weather. He had a nasty little tummy virus. Other than screaming every time we had to change his diaper he was perfectly pleasant to be around. He really is the greatest baby. Miles and I were feeling bad for him so we designated that Saturday to be Caiden day. We started off the morning by heading to the skatepark, then to Toys R' Us with the intention of picking out a new toy but all Caiden asked for was a bag of Snickers. Treat King. We got that bag of Snickers and headed to the Danbury Airport to watch planes take off and land. He's really into airplanes right now. After the airport we headed home for a nap. When he woke up we had a little car wash, daddy's car and Caiden's truck. Then we got all dolled up and went to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings and walked next door to Chuckie Cheese for an evening of fun games. After games we went to Stew Leonard's for ice cream with sprinkles and to hang out with the farm animals at the Stew's petting zoo before heading home to go to bed. It was the best Caiden Day. I think there will be plenty more in our future.
