Bluejay Orchards.

A couple weekends ago we went on a family date to Bluejay Orchards. We checked a few things off the fall bucket list. We went on a hayride and the pumpkin patch. Caiden loved trying to push the wheelbarrow full of pumpkins. Due to the crazy winter/spring weather here Bluejay didn't have apple picking open to the public but we went into the orchards to teach Caiden a little about apples. We love spending time together as a family and are greatly enjoying this east coast fall!

Nature Walk.

Today was the first sunny day all week. Caiden has been going stir crazy being cooped up inside all week. So we decided to head out to our favorite nature trail and go for a walk. Equipped with rain boots and my camera we headed out. Caiden enjoyed throwing rocks in the water and running on the trail. I'm pretty sure I brought the stroller just to safely house my camera and to act as a tripod to get some photos of me and my favorite little man. The leaves hadn't quite started changing yet, so we'll have to go back in 2 weeks when they start turning yellow and red! Caiden was so worn out that he sat in the stroller most of our trek out of the woods watching Barney on my phone. Bonus: he napped really well today!

We live for Saturdays.

Around here Saturdays are pretty sacred. They are our designated Family Date days. This last Saturday we went to the skate park. Caiden would watch Miles skate with this look on his face like "my dad is the coolest!" And he is. He would climb on his little skateboard and cautiously try to be like dad. He would squeal with delight when Miles would ride passed and throw his arms in the air to be picked up and ride. As a wife and a mom there is no better scene to watch than a son admiring his dad. After a skate session we walked over to the playground. We followed Caiden around and let him decide what we would play on. Swings and slide were the biggest hit. Then we went out to lunch at Panera. After Caiden's nap we watched some football and had Chinese/sushi take out. Perfect Saturday in my book.
