Sky High

For work yesterday we took the kids on a field trip. I usually work in the skate park (which is what I prefer) but the Teen Center was short a staff member so I got to go! It was actually really awesome! We went to this place called Sky High. Unfortunately I didn't remember to bring my camera, but I did have my cell phone. So the pictures are pretty crummy quality, but I just found out that I can bluetooth stuff from my phone to my mac, which is awesome. But anyway Sky High is a place with 5 or 6 arenas of trampolines. They had dodgeball tournaments and basketball games and everything is played on trampolines. Even the walls were trampolines. You could jump off a wall and just bounce back down. They also have volleyball nets and free jump arenas. Needless to say after 3 hours of jumping on trampolines I was exhausted and took a 2 hour nap when I got home! It was such a workout. 

 

Pretty decent quality for a cell phone right? It was a lot of fun and great break from the regular Teen Center activities. Today was a nightmare though! I forgot how mean 13 year old girls can be. There were tears and yelling and cussing and oh my goodness it was drama central and I can not wait to get back into the Skatepark where things are more simple and the kids rock. I think it's important, every once in awhile, to be put into situations that make you grateful for the position you're in. It made me greatly appreciate the Skatepark and the simplicity my job entails. 

Oh and I'm working on some mock-up business cards that I will be posting for the vote of the maybe 5 people that read my blog. But I think it's important to get opinions. Just don't judge my graphic design talent (or lack there-of.) If I could afford to hire someone to design them for me I certainly would. Oh well.
