Please Provide Help

So, I'm working on my photography website right now. I know a little about coding, a little more about graphic design, but I know basically nothing about website design. I feel like I'm googling every 5 seconds. Is there anyone that can provide me with the help I need?

Oh, and check out my blog. I don't update it all that often, but I would love to take some pictures for people if they're interested. I'm cheap, I almost have my degree, and not to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty good.

Poor Decisions?

So I let Miles dye my hair last night. Good decision or bad? Well the to give Miles the benefit of the doubt I was only prepared with one box of dye (that's all it took last time Nikki dyed my hair)... he did a a decent job given his tools to work with. However, the top half of my hair was dark, and so was most of the bottom, but there were definite light brown streaks, and not in a cute highlights kind of way, it was ugly. I have to go get it fixed. It's not the first time I've had someone box dye my hair and a catastrophe has unfolded. Freshman year of college I let a friend dye my hair dark brown when it was blonde and damaged. I cried myself to sleep because I looked my Marilyn Manson, and on top of that, the color soaked into the parts that were more damaged quicker, and I had cheetah spots.. it took a lady 3 hours to lift the black out of my hair and then put highlights in it to cover the spots. I'm in need of some funny hair pick-me-up stories. Any good ones?

take a look into my life :)

Meet the people I've spent my summer hanging out (working) with. They are awesome. From left to right: Jeff, Scott, Nico, me, Bryan. Nico is probably the coolest dog ever. I have loved my job and I've loved my co-workers. We've done a ton of fun stuff to keep ourselves entertained during an 8-hour shift. We have cracked open a safe by touch, eaten far too many cookies, built our own stethoscopes, built our own basketball hoop followed by destructing a baseball in order to get it's rubber core to be our basketball. We've built our own tech deck half pipe, had water balloon fights, colored pictures, designed and spray painted our own blank decks, and a ton of other things that I really can't think of right now. It's been awesome and I'm really sad to say goodbye. I've made a lot of really good friends that it really sucks to leave.

A lot of my summer has also been spent hanging out at the Teen Center. We have done a LOT of crazy awesome stuff, things I never would have been able to experience this summer if it weren't for my job. I've gone to Rivercat's Games, Sky High, Sun Splash, the firehouse, the wave rider at Dream Xtreme, gone rock climbing, bowling, built our own mini golf course, had a Freak Seek at the Mall (similar to Where's Waldo except the staff were all dressed like Freaks and the kids had to run around and find us) played tons of games, spent way too much time at the pool, held a car wash, had a RockBand competition complete with costumes and everything, had an Olympics week, and held mini bike races. I'm sure there's more, I really can't think of those either. I don't have pictures of everything, and I'm pretty sure no one cares, but I do and since I pretend like this is also my journal, I'm posting what I have.

Yeah. My summer job ROCKED. I wish I never had to leave.

Looking Back...

As Miles and I were walking around Tahoe last weekend and we saw a bench on a path and it reminded me of one of my favorite wedding pictures. I think we'll need to make this a tradition... see how things change over the years. Maybe one or two of those years there will be a baby bump! Has much changed over a year? You know, besides our fancypants outfits last year.

Meet My New Friend

Meet my new Zoon Wide Angle-Telephoto EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Autofocus Lens. That's an mouthful huh? She's amazing. And yes, she has taken on the female persona. She costs more than my camera body and kit lens combined and about a half of my month of July working, but she is so worth it. Call me, I'm so ready to take pictures with my baby it's ridiculous.

We've Made it a WHOLE Year!

Our one year anniversary weekend has come and gone, and I'm so sad to see it go. Miles took Saturday off and we drove to Lake Tahoe for the weekend. It was amazing. Does amazing even cover it? Probably not. We cozied up in a Bed and Breakfast at North Shore in Carnelian Bay. It was perfect. It wasn't too hot and it wasn't too cold. The weather was just right. We went for long walks on the beach, went to an art show, went to the tennis courts, went to the skate park, went for a nice hike with an amazing view, went to an incredible lobster and steak dinner, played some games, went to listen to some live music on the beach, went and walked around the shops, and were treated to amazing breakfasts each morning. Neither of us wanted to head back to Sacramento and real life on Monday morning. Miles bought me amazingly beautiful princess cut diamond earrings and a longboard! I love both. I bought Miles a new Nixon watch, the Banks, with a black leather band and a white watch face. It looks pretty sexy on his wrist. I also gave him a few other things that will remain unexplained due to the nature of his gifts. He loved them. ANYway... we had a lovely time and I can't believe a year has come and gone. It seemed to slip by so quickly! We're still in love, I think that's a pretty good sign.

My Life Lately

With the exception of Miles, pretty much my entire life this summer has revolved around the skate park. I've got to say though, I have absolutely loved it and I'm going to be a sad girl my last day of work. I've uploaded a lot of the pictures I've been taking on my photo blog, but since it there are virtually no viewers for that blog, I thought I'd upload a few on here too. I'm working on a promo photo video for the CSD which should be done some time next week, I'll probably post that too because I'm really excited about the project.
