Where have the last seven months gone? Other mom's told me it would go to fast, I had no idea. This month just blew on past. This was the first time that I couldn't get Caiden to crack up with the camera in front of him. He was so solemn and so distracted by the grass, and the bushes, and the leaves, and the cars passing by... Typical though. Here's what the boy has been up to the last month:
-The boy is just days away from crawling. He scoots himself backwards but can't quite seem to get the forward motion. He gets his legs going but can't figure out to move his arms so he nosedives. Rolling is still his main mode of transportation.
-Caiden tried eating baby veggies and fruits (sweet potatoes, squash, bananas and applesauce). Originally he like the sweet potatoes and squash but now he refuses to eat it. He won't even eat the cereal. Suggestions?
-The boy wears 12 month jammies. Really? Stop growing baby!
-My son drinks from a sippy cup. How did this happen? He got it down in 3 tries.
-Nixon now brings his toys to Caiden when he wants to play. He sits and growls and waits for Caiden to throw it for him, but Caiden doesn't quite get it yet. He's just happy Nixon is paying attention to him. Give him a year Nixon, you'll be best buds.
-The boy enjoys watching his own newborn video. He is mesmerized with himself. He's also discovered that he can kiss himself in the mirror. It's my favorite.
-Has started coming around to his car seat, but only because we give him a little treat every time we put him inside. He loves those Gerber puffs, and so do I. They work like magic. Bribery work.
-Caiden loves to cuddle! He wakes up around 7:30 and we cuddle in bed for an hour before getting up for the day. It's nice for me, I ease in to waking up and he's content to play and kick and snuggle.-Caiden has never been much of a fussy baby. He squints his eyes and pretends to cry when he's upset, but reserves the waterworks for real "emergencies." Recently, he's been letting me know he's tired by going crazy! He laughs, he squeals in delight, his arms and legs go flailing. It's hilarious, but not great for Sacrament meeting! He is such a happy boy. Tired or awake, hungry or full, entertained or not, he is laughing and smiling. It warms my heart. He's my little ray of sunshine.
-His eyes have turned from blue, to a hazel green. They shift from green to gray to dark blue based on what he's wearing though.
-The boy loves to eat grass and leaves. So strange. Put him down on the grass and within seconds his mouth is full of grass. Walk through the gate to get to the door to our place and without even noticing he has plucked a few leaves from the house. We've found a whole leaf in his poop.-He is our biggest blessing.
