Mother's Day was pretty low key for us. Miles took off the night before to drive down to Atlanta to start his new job on the following Monday. It wasn't exactly ideal, but Caiden and I were together and that's what the day is about right? Celebrating motherhood with those that make you a mother. After what felt like an eternity apart Caiden and I flew to Atlanta in the nick of time for Father's Day. We got in late Saturday night. As we were deplaning Caiden was chanting "daddy daddy daddy" and when we were off the plane he started running and saying "daddy are you? daddy hiding? daaaaaddy!" He practically leaped out of my arms when he saw his daddy again after all that time apart! We spent all of Father's Day reveling in the fact that we were together as a family and appreciating the sacrifices that Miles made for us during the time we were apart. I made Miles and Caiden a matching tie/bowtie set as I have for the last 3 years. Family traditions. We spent the rest of the day giving Miles presents, going to our new ward, taking family naps, and sharing a home cooked meal together. It was pretty perfect.
Yup! Moved a few weeks ago. We are loving it. Don't care for the southern summer bugs but other than that it's great. Did you guys just make the move from AZ to CA? How's that?
