Story Time.

I'd like to tell a little story about a boy and a girl. This story took place one year ago: On May 3rd a boy decided to bring a girl to Santa Cruz for the weekend. They arrived in Santa Cruz pretty late because they stopped along the way to get to dinner and went to bed in a cute little guest house in the woods. They had a pancake breakfast in the morning and headed to the beach. It was a cold, windy, overcast morning. They went down to the water and played around in the sand, but the girl would not touch the water, it was just too cold. After a while, she asked the boy if they could go somewhere warmer and she bent down to grab the boys shoes when all of a sudden he threw his arms around her from the back. The girl's immediate thought was he’s going to throw me in the water, so she kind of screamed a bit. He let go, and when the girl turned around, the boy was down on one knee. He told the girl that he loved her and asked her to be his forever. The girl was so surprised! The first thing she said was, “Are you serious?” The boy responded yes, and she asked, “Did you talk to my parents?” He just laughed and said, “You still haven’t given me an answer.” The girl threw her arms around the boy and said yes, probably 100 times, and he said, “And yes, I talked to your parents a week ago.” The girl still couldn’t believe that they were engaged, and after the boy kissed the girl she looked into the boy's eyes and asked, “You’re not kidding right? This is for real?" The boy had completely surprised the girl, which made that special moment so much more romantic. Magically the sun came out, the wind went away, and the boy and the girl were able to enjoy their engagement at the beach for the rest of the day. She was the luckiest girl in the world.

And over a year later, I'm still the luckiest girl in the world.
